Who We Are
The York & Lancaster Thorns Rugby Football Club (YLTRFC) is a women’s rugby club based in central Pennsylvania. We are recognized by the Eastern Pennsylvania Rugby Union (EPRU), USA Rugby and all of its affiliates.
Our organization was founded in 2005 and has since flourished on and off the field. The Club participates in sanctioned matches throughout the Mid-Atlantic Region. Rugby enjoys three seasons: a Fall season (August-November) which determines participation in post-season activity, a Spring season (February-June), and a Summer season (June-August) characterized by various tournaments. As a fully functional organization, the Thorns can offer women the opportunity to participate in any one, a combination or all three of the aforementioned seasons and related events.
The Thorns Rugby Club also includes social supporters/associate members, who regularly participate in Club events and volunteer their time towards the advancement of the Club.
In order to succeed on and off the pitch, Thorns Rugby needs the continued support of sponsors and friends.
